Brussels Sprouts, you either love 'em or hate 'em. There is seldom an in between. I proudly proclaim I'm on the LOVE side of the fence but sadly, I live in a house divided.
My husband hates them. He hates my beloved BS so much that arguments have occurred when I dare make at home. He thinks they stink. He says they're gross. But I defend my BS with all my might!
“They're delicious,” I cry.
“Just try them,” I beg.
He balks, complains, gags, whines and has even stormed out of our house, leaving me to enjoy a plate full of crispy, browned sprouts in solitude.
But marriage is about compromise and I will admit Brussels Sprouts can be a little stinky. So in an effort to keep the peace in our relationship I've promised not to cook the little stinkers at home.
