Restaurant Opening: Fellow Osteria

Housed inside a stylish-yet-welcoming indoor-outdoor space at SkySong, Fellow Osteria will bring an authentic Italian osteria menu and vibe to the heart of south Scottsdale when it opens this Friday, December 14. Handcrafted by Born & Raised Hospitality, the Valley-based restaurant group behind Clever Koi and Across the Pond, Fellow is the latest culinary and cocktail passion project from co-owners Nicholas Campisano and Joshua James, who went to great lengths--from sourcing rare, rustic pasta grains to building a spacious patio perfect for all-day lounging--to ensure Fellow brings a true taste of the Italian countryside to this fast-growing Scottsdale neighborhood.

Following with the communal nature of a traditional osteria, Fellow also showcases the talents of fellow local food artisans, starting with a menu designed in consultation with iconic Phoenix chef, Claudio Urciuoli (Pa'La). Plus Fellow guests can literally see their food growing in SkySong's 2,000 sq.-ft. community garden right outside Fellow's windows, which will provide fresh produce and more all year-round in partnership with Justin Rohner of Agriscapes.

Serving a full-service menu of authentically-sourced, seriously-farm-fresh pizzas, pastas, sandwiches and salads for lunch and dinner (Sun. to Thurs., 11am - 9pm; Fri. & Sat., 11 am - 11 pm), Fellow also tempts with affordable, Italian-centric wines (also available to-go), as well as craft beers and hand-shaken cocktails. Fellow will also cater to time-crunched office workers by offering premium coffee drinks and freshly-prepared grab & go meals (as well as the full menu to-go), plus gourmet ice cream from Scottsdale's own, Sweet Republic. Fellow's state-of-the-art kitchen will also offer standout catering services to surrounding business and SkySong events.

Carved inside a striking, soaring 140-seat space, Fellow's striking design continues the communal, welcoming osteria ambience by inviting guests to linger on the spacious, shaded dining patio and enjoy fun bar games such as standup shuffleboard. In fact all of the custom outdoor tables are on wheels to allow Fellow to seat flocks of any size or configuration. Or settle in at the central bar highlighted by a gigantic wooden cube that's been carved with 3-D landscapes of iconic Arizona gathering-points or 'piazzas,' from the barrios of Tucson to the historic mining town of Bisbee.
