Restaurant Opening: Tikka Shack

Desert Ridge Marketplace will welcome Tikka Shack to its lineup of culinary destinations in March 2019. The Texas-based, fast casual Indian concept will open its first Arizona location in The District across from The Splash Pad.

Tikka Shack has carefully curated a menu to captivate guests with the aromatic flavors of India through the artful creation of blended spices. Tikka Shack will offer a variety of traditional Indian dishes and lighter, build-your-own options. In addition, guests can also enjoy a “self-serve” beer wall to complement their meal.

“Indian food is one of the last categories to be re-defined, they are taking it to a new level. This unique concept is a perfect complement to Desert Ridge Marketplace,” said Jenny Cushing, vice president of leasing at Vestar. “There are few options for Indian food in the North Valley and Tikka Shack fills that void.”

Tikka Shack was drawn to Desert Ridge Marketplace’s emphasis on experience-driven concepts and entertainment options – a primary focus of the shopping center since it completed a $22 million, top-to-bottom renovation in 2017.

“Desert Ridge Marketplace is the perfect location for our first Arizona location,” said Parish Patel, owner of Tikka Shack. “We know our guests’ senses will be delighted as we provide fresh, fast Indian food in a contemporary atmosphere.”

Tikka Shack will join new and upcoming additions to Desert Ridge Marketplace, including H&M, ComicX, CB Live, The Whining Pig Beer & Wine Bar, Barrio Queen and Flower Child.
